BSS, Dhaka :Nine more Bangladeshis returned home from Iran yesterday morning after Iranian police rescued them from the clutches of traffickers. A flight carrying them landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here around 11 am, assistant superintendent (media) of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Humayun Kabir told BSS yesterday.They are: Tamij Uddin, Ramij Uddin, Mohsin, Shahabuddin, Zillur Rahman, Sohrab, Samar Uddin Halim, and Hridoy Ali. With them, a total of 21 Bangladeshi migrants out of 80, who were in the clutches of traffickers inIran’s port city Bandar Abbas, returned Bangladesh in two phases, he said, adding that the remaining others will return home in phases. Earlier on April 17, 12 Bangladeshis returned home in the first phase, he said.CID police with the help of Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran and Iranian police repatriated them from Iran, said Humayun. There are a number of fraudulence groups in Saudi Arab, Dubai, and Oman which persuaded Bangladeshi migrants to go to Iran, Turkey, Greece, and Italy for lucrative jobs with huge salaries, he said.
