After three-day recess, the 8th round of the TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football starts today at the different venues across the country.
Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings will take on Chittagong Abahani Limited at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city, while Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited will face Saif Sporting Club at Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj and Dhaka Abahani Limited will meet Swadhinata Krira Sangha at Liberation War Memorial Stadium in Rajshahi. All the matches kick-off at 3.30pm.
Bashundhara Kings led the points table bagging 18 points from seven matches, while Dhaka Abahani Limited took the second position grabbing 16 points from as many outings.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited took the third spot collecting 15 points from seven matches, while Chittagong Abahani Limited achieved the fourth position with 12 points from as many outings.
Saif Sporting Club claimed the sixth position earning 10 points from seven matches, while Swadhinata Krira Sangha took the 11th spot collecting four points from as many outings.
