An eighth grade student named Mohammad Riyad (13) was killed after he fell under the wheel of a speedy truck in Mymensingh’s Gafargaon upazila.
The incident took place at noon on Friday (April 23) in the village of Saltia in the municipal town. The deceased was identified as Mohammad, son of Nazrul Islam of Saltia village in Riyadh municipality.
According to local sources, Riyadh was on his way to home. A speedy truck loaded with paddy sacks crashed him and he died on the spot. At that time, people of the area came, but the driver escaped.
Gafargaon Police Station OC Anukul Sarkar said, police had been sent to the spot. Necessary action will be taken.
