Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Thursday said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has controlled extremism in the country although it is yet to be demolished due to conspiracy in the country and abroad.
The minister was speaking at an anti -drug, terrorism and militancy rally arranged by Jessore district police on Thursday afternoon.
SM Moniruzzaman, deputy inspector general of police, Khulna range chaired the rally held on the ground of Jessore Zila School on Thursday afternoon.
A total of 866 ‘drug traders’ have surrendered to the home minister at a rally. The home minister also kicked off Hello Jessore Police Apps, CCTV covered Jessore town and handed over certificates to freedom fighters who were relieved from paying holding taxes under Jessore Municipality.
