11th National Parliamentary election: 86 candidates submit nomination papers in B’baria

The aspirant candidates from six constituencies in the district submitted their nomination papers at their respective election offices with much enthusiasm and festivity amid tight security measures on Wednesday.
Of the total, 86 candidates from six constituencies in the district submitted their nomination papers in the office of the deputy commissioner and in the respective offices of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).
Awami League candidate Anisul Huq nominated for Brahmanbaria-4 constituency (Kasba-Akhaura) submitted his nomination paper at the offices of Kasba and Akhaura Upazila Nirbahi Officer. Former state minister AB Tajul Islam for Brahmanbaria-6 constituency (Bancharampur), District AL president RAM Oaidul Muktadir Chowdhury for Brahmanbaria-3 constituency (Sadar-Bijoynagar), Beacon Group Managing Director Ebadul Karim Bulbul for Brahmanbaria-5 constituency (Nabinagar) submitted their nomination papers at the office of the deputy commissioner and respective offices of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
BNP candidate, former secretary and Alternative Eexecutive Director of World Bank Mushfiqur Rahman nominated for Brahmanbaria-4 constituency, Central BNP’s finance affairs secretary Engineer Khaled Hossain Mahboob Shaymal for Brahmanbaria-3 constituency, Central BNP’s assistant international affairs secretary Barrister Rumin Farhana for Brahmanbaria-2 constituency submitted their nomination papers at the office of the deputy commissioner.
Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Hayat-Ud-Dowllah Khan said they distributed an adequate number of nomination papers and hoped that the election would be held in a free and fair manner.
