Chittagong District Police in overnight special drives arrested 86 people including three leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), in drives conducted at different upazilas of the district on Tuesday night.
The law enforcers also recovered 200 pieces of Yaba tablets, 65 litres liquor 600 grams ganjas during the night-long drives. Mohammad Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district police said that several teams of police conducted the drives in different Upazilas of the district on Tuesday night and rounded up 86 people.
