As many as 851 corona positive patients were detected in Bagerhat district till Saturday including Adv. Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha who was elected MP as Awami League nominee for consecutive last two terms from Bagerhat Constituency-2 (Bagerhat Sadar and Kachua Upazilas), Md. Shahinuzzaman, ADC (Rev), Bagerhat, Swapan Das, Upazila Chairman of Fakikrhat, Maffara Tasnin, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Mollahat, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Fakirhat and S M Mohiuddin, Jailor of Bagerhat district Jail, according to a source of the Office of the Civil Surgeon of Bagerhat. On the other hand, some 710 persons were recovered from corona pandemic while the corona pandemic death toll rose to 18 in the district during the period.
Bagerhat Sadar Upazila topped the list of corona positive patients (in the district) where the number of corona patients is 259. On the other hand, Fakirhat Upazila topped the list of corona death toll. Some 10 corona patients died in the Upzila and the rest 10 deaths took place in the rest eight Upazilas of the district.
