68,095 got GPA-5 in JSC, JDC, 3, 80, 457 in PEC, Ebtedayee: 85.83pc pass in JSC, JDC exams, 97 in PEC, Ebtedayee

A total of 85.83 per cent students passed in the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations, while over 97 per cent in Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee examinations this year.
The pass rate increased 2.18 percentage points from last year, but the number of

students who received GPA 5 dropped sharply.
The results of the examinations were published on Monday morning.
In JSC and JDC, as many as 22,30,829 students out of 26, 70,333 students from 29,677 educational institutions passed in this year’s JSC and JDC examinations. Of them, 10, 15,387 are males and 12, 15, 442 are females.
The number of JSC students was 22, 67,343 against 4,02,990 students in the JDC examination this year.
A total of 20, 18,271 students out of 24,82,382 passed the JSC and JDC examinations last year.
A total 68,095 students obtained the GPA-5 this year against 184,397 last year.
Girls have outperformed boys in the eighth grader terminal tests Junior School Certificate, securing higher pass rates and more GPA 5.
This year, 14,06,317 girls took part in the JSC examinations against 11,92,852 boys. Last year, 12,91,689 girls and 11,21,022 boys sat for the tests.
Among the total 66,108 GPA 5 achievers, which was a third of last year’s in statistics, 39,905 were girls and the remaining 28,190 were boys.
A total of 4,769 educational institutions have achieved 100 percent pass which was 5,279 last year and the number of institutions with zero percent pass rate is 43 this year which was 59 last year.
Besides, a total 541 students appeared in the examinations from abroad in nine centres. Among them, a total of 530 students came out successful with the 97.97percent pass rate. Among them, 56 students obtained GPA-5.
