A total of 82,459 students across the country have secured the scholarships in the Primary Completion Examinations (PEC) 2016.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman Fizar announced the list of scholarship recipients at a press conference in the Conference Room of the Ministry on Tuesday.
Mostafizur Rahman Fizar thanked the scholarship secured students for their outstanding results in the Primary Completion Examination.
He also advised them to continue such results in the
future public examinations.
The number of scholarship recipients has increased this year as some 27,500 students received the scholarship last year.
The scholarships were given in two categories, talent pool and general, on the basis of highest marks in the examinations held in November last year.
The results are available at the website of the Primary Education Directorate, www.dpe.gov.bd.
The results of the examinations were published on December 29 last that showed 98.51 percent pass percentage, with 2,81,898 obtaining GPA 5.
