Eighty-two new books arrived at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair on Sunday, the 24th day of the fair.
Of them, 10 are story books, five articles, 18 poems, three on research, five children books, one on Liberation War, 20 novels, three dramas, three on history, three science fictions, and 11 on other subjects.
Thirteen books also unveiled at the Nazrul Mancha on the Bangla Academy premises yesterday.
The unveiled books are: Tridhara by Tapan Kumar Roy, Yousuf Iqbal and Abdus Salam, Bangladesher Hridoy
Hotey by Dima Nifar Tithi, Chalok Proshikkhan Sohaika by Nurul Momen, Dhrupadir Shomoy 0 Shotabdir Majhey Tumi by Rezaul Haque Sumon, Chai by Dilara Begum and Rokeya Akhter, Attorokkha 0 Swasthorokkha Taici and Body Building Bimage Extension by Dildar Hasan Dilu, Hotobhagya Nari by Manjushri Dutta Papia, Chicken Fry 0 Ice Cream and Ami Darwan Hotey Chai by Mohammad Masum Billah, Plassey Tragedeer Etibritto by Zehad Uddin and Chorar Mela.
Some new books are Paribesh 0 Ganomaddham: Noitik Bisleshon by Mostak Ahmed, Dui Diganta by Juli Haque, Dui Jamaj Bhai by Ahmed Riaz, Amader Bhasha Andolon Kishore Etihash by Rafiqur Rashid, Durer Path by Abul Hasan Mohammad Bashar, Ghur Berai Deshey Deshey by Noeem Nizam, Luckir Songsar by Hamidul Alam Sokha, Honan by Ahsan Habib, Panshalay Ami by Tania Hossain and Nirontor Bhabna by Abul Kalam Azad.
A discussion on ‘Professor Abdul Hafiz’ was held on the main podium of the fair yesterday. Director General of Bangla Academy Professor Shamsuzzaman Khan presided over the programme while, Salina Hossain presented the keynote paper.
A cultural programme was held in the evening on the Bangla Academy premises enjoyed by hundreds of people from all ages.
