Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque has claimed that law enforcers have solved 80 per cent of the cases filed in connection with militant attacks and killings in the last couple of years.
“We have meanwhile arrested a number of accused,” the IGP said.
He said this while addressing a conference on religious harmony at Krishibid Institute in the capital’s Farm Gate on Thursday afternoon.
Saying that police are doing their duties with full professionalism, the IGP said the main responsibility of police is to trace criminals and ensure their punishment after any incident takes place.”Centering the recent killings, we have observed that few countries are trying to come close to us. They want to show they are sorry, but all this is nothing but crocodile tears,” he said.. He also said, Bangladesh Police are capable of dealing with any kind of situation, as they have solved many historic cases.
