In a reshuffle in the police administration, eight top officers have been transferred and given new postings.
The Home Ministry issued an order in this regard on Monday.
According to the order, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Chittagong Range Md Nowsher Ali has been transferred as DIG of Telecommunications and Information Management, Dhaka while he was replaced by Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Shafiqul Islam.
DIG of Rajshahi Range Mir Shahidul Islam has been made DIG of Special Branch, Dhaka while DIG of Telecommunications
and Information Management, Dhaka Md Iqbal Bahar sent to Rajshahi Range.
Director (DIG-current charge) of Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital Abu Musa Mohammad Fakhrul Islam has been sent to Armed Police Battalion (APBn) headquarters, Dhaka as DIG (Current Charge) while former DIG of Railway Range (Presently attached with PHQs after completion of NDC course) Dr Mohammad Sadiqur Rahman replaced Fakhrul.
DIG of APBn Md Moniruzzaman has been appointed DIG of newly formed River Police while DIG of PHQs Humayun Kabir sent to Barisal Range.
