Out of 19 posts sanctioned in Rangpur Livestock District Office, 8 important posts have been vacant for a long time. District Animal Resources Officer Dr Mohammad Sirajul Haque said the government has sanctioned 19 posts for the office.
But all the 8 important posts here have been vacant for a long time. There are vacancies in the posts of District Training Officer, Additional District Animal Resources Officer and Veterinary Surgeon, Office Assistant, Computer Operator, Cashier, 2 drivers and night guard. In this office of the district headquarters, the farmers need to do different work including treatment of different cattle. He said that due to vacancies in these posts, casual office work including providing services to cattle is being severely hampered.
