8 more killed in road crashes

At least eight persons including a minor girl and her mother were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Monday.
In Munshiganj, two persons including a three-year-old minor girl and her mother were killed when a private car rammed them on the Mawa-Kabutarkhola road in Louhajang upazila of the district on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Parvin Begum, 35, wife of Mizanur Rahman Howlader of Dikkhin Medinimandal rehabilitation center area and her daughter Saima,3.
Monir Hossian, Officer-in-Charge of Louhajang Police Station told the news to the media that the injured were taken to Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex where doctor declared Saima dead. Later, her mother died on way to Mitford Hospital in Dhaka.
In Dinajpur, two motorcyclists were killed and another injured in separate road crashes in Parbatipur upazila of the district on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as motorcyclist Akash, 33, and Shajahan Ali, 31, from Monnothpur area.
Akhtarul Karim, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Bhabanipur Police Investigation Center (IC) confirmed the matter to the media. Police seized the
truck and detained its driver, SI added.
In Gazipur, a pedestrian named Azim Bhuiyan,30, was killed when a bus rammed him at MC Bazar area under the Sreepur upazila of the district on Monday morning.
Sujan Kumar Pondith, Sub-Inspector of Mawna Highway Police confirmed the news to the media.
In Chapainababganj, a motorcyclist named Bashir Uddin,28, was killed when a face to face collision occurred between two bikes in Nachol upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.
Jubayer Ahamed, Officer-in-Charge of Nachol Police Station told the news to the media.
In Kushtia, a housewife named Nuri Khatun,25, was killed when a micro-bus hit her while she was crossing the road at Allahr Dargha under Daulatpur upazila of the district on Sunday evening.
Nazrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Daulatpur Police Station told the matter to the media.
