Eight individuals and institutions have expressed interest to run their 157 buses on Ghatarchar-Kanchpur via the
Motijheel route under the experimental bus route rationalization programme to be launched on December 26, reports BSS.
Trans Silva would operate 38 buses while Iqbal Enterprise two, ML Lovely Paribahan four, Rajnigandha Paribahan one, Mostafa Helal Kabir six, Mohammad Oliullah one, Jahan Enterprise 100 and HR Transport Agency would operate five buses on this pilot route, said a Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) press release here on Sunday.
Expressing interest to operate their bus on the experimental route, individuals and institutions have sent letters to the Dhaka Transport Co-ordination Authority (DTCA), which is responsible for implementing the bus route rationalization programme, it said.
Dhaka South City Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh welcomed the interest of running buses on the route and said, “After scrutinizing the letters of interest, we will approve the required number of buses on the route”.
