About 225 aspirant candidates so far collected party nomination papers in support of Boat symbal from party central office for contesting in 16 parliament seats of Chattogram.
Out of these 225 aspirants, 8 heavyweight candidates of different constistuencies so far collected NPs.
These heavyweight candidates are also holding their responsibilities such as minister, lawmakers and higher party posts.These heavyweight candidates include – (from left ) Engr. Mosharaf Hossain of Mirsarai, Saifuzzaman chowdhry Javed of Anowara, MA Salam of Hathazari, Dr. Hasan Mahmud of Rangunia, Manzoor Alam from Halishahar-Patenga, ABM Fazle Karim chowdhury of Raozan, Shamslul Hoque chowdhury of Patiya and Barrister Nowfel of Kotwali constituency.
For contesting election the coming parliament polls from Chattogram with Boat symbol , a total of 225 aspirant candidates so far collected party nomination papers from Awami League central office in the capital .
Election will be held in 16 constituencies of Chattagram including metropolitan areas. The NP distributed from central office from Friday to Monday last. On last day, 66 aspirants collected NPs , sources said.
Constituency wise statistics of collecting NPs as follows:- Chattogram -1 ( Mirsarai) – 6, Chattogram -2 (Fatikchari) 25 aspirants, Chattogram -3 (Sandwip) 13, Chattogram -4 (Sitakunda) 17, Chattogram -5 (Hathazari) 11, Ctg-6(Raozan) 4, Chattogram -7(Rangunia) 4, Chattogram -8(Boalkhali) 17, Chattogram -9(Kotwali) 26, Chattogram -10 (Double Mooring) 15, Chattogram -11 (Bandar-Patenga) 17, Chattogram -12 (Patiya) 9, Chattogram -13 (Anowara) 4, Chattogram -14 (Chandanaish) 23, Chattogram -15 (Satkania) 18 and Chattogram -16 (Banskhali) 13 candidates.
