Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered eight grenades from a microbus as they intercepted it in front of Sreepur camp of BGB battalion 5 in Jaintapur upazila on Sunday.
On a tip-off, a team of BGB intercepted the Sylhet-bound microbus at noon and recovered the grenades after searching the vehicle.
The grenades was concealed under the back seat and packed in three Indian cumin seed packets wrapped with a black cloth, said Major Abdur Rahim, commanding officer of BGB battalion 5.
However, no one was arrested in this connection.
