Customs Intelligence officials seized eight gold bars weighting about 932 grams from Postal Freight Unit at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here on Tuesday morning.
The gold bars had been kept hidden in a parcel of battery chamber of Sony play station in a flight of EK582 from Dubai that landed at the airport in the morning, said Assistant Director of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Umme Nahida.
Consigned to Hridoy Electronics at Baitul Mokarram in Dhaka city, the gold was recovered after scanning the parcel.
