A mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation convicted 8 persons for dumping household wastes in the drains and culverts preventing the flows of the water in the city on Tuesday.
City corporation Magistrate Nazia Shirin led the mobile court conducted at Anderkilla area in city .CCC sources said the drains beside the KB Aman Ali tower in Anderkilla dumped with debris by the residents of the building which seriously hampers flowing of drain water caused overflow in roads.
City magistrate convicted 8 residents of the tower with penalty of Tk.5 thousand each .During drive , CCC officials and metro police accompanied the city magistrate, sources said.
