The annual butterfly fair of Jahangirangar University (JU) will be held on Friday on the campus to attach importance of butterflies in maintaining ecological balance for the seventh time.
In collaboration with Prokriti O Jiban Foundation, JU Zoology Department is organising the fair with the slogan “Urley Akashey Projapoti, Prokriti Pai Notun Goti”, Prof Mohammad Monwar Hossain, Chairman of the Department told a press conference at JU Journalists Association.
Events of the day-long fair include children’s art competition on nature and butterflies, photography competition on butterflies, displaying butterflies, kite flying, and documentary on butterflies and debate competition on butterfly and ecosystem.
