7th JS session begins today

The seventh session of 10th Parliament begins today (Tuesday). All preparations have been taken to commence the session at 5:00 PM, said the sources of Parliament Secretariat.
Prior to beginning of the session, a meeting of the business advisory committee will be held with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair to fix the duration and businesses of the seventh session. The meeting is scheduled to be held at 4:00 PM.
A total of 13 public bills, including five new bills, were submitted for the seventh session.
President Abdul Hamid summoned the session on August 16 last. According to
the Constitution, the President must convene a session within 60 days of the last sitting of the last session and the first sitting of the next session.
The sixth session of the Parliament ended on July 8 passing the national budget for the 2015-16 fiscal year.
