The 7th batch of the Department of Marketing emerged as the champions of the Jagannath University (JnU) Marketing Premier League (MPL) Cricket defeating the 9th batch of the Department of Marketing by 55 runs in the final at the Jagannath Hall play ground in Dhaka University on Tuesday.
The Competition was patronized by Zahir Uddin Arif, Chairman of Marketing Department.
Dr Asim Sarkar, Provost of Jagannath Hall of DU handed over crest to the champions team as the chief guest.
The 7th batch piled up a fighting 122 for 5 in the stipulated 10 overs after decided to bat first. Chasing the target of 123, the 9th batch were skittled out for 67.
Sujat was adjudged the Player of the League for his outstanding performance.
The Competition was an initiative of JnU Marketing Club.
