SSC results in Barisal Board: 79 pc institutions score cent percent pass

Seventy-nine out of 1390 secondary schools institutions got cent-percent pass rate this year which was 146 in 2015 , 208 in 2014 and 143 in 2013 and 121 in 2012 and only 49 in 2011.
Out of cent percent passed 79 schools in SSC 2016, included 21 in Barisal district, 19 in Pirojpur, 17 in Jhalakathi, 4 in Barguna, 10 in Bhola and 8 in Patuakhali districts.
Above fifty percent students passed in 1,212 out of out of total 1,390 schools under BEB.
However, except only one specialized government institutions like Barisal Cadet College with 50 examinees, none of the institutions in the divisional city obtained cent-percent pass rate while the schools of district and upazila level have done better in SSC 2016 under BEB.
This year 2 of 1,390 schools scored zero-percent pass rate which were Golam Rahman High School of Bohanuddin Bhola with 5 examinees and Madhuvanga Girls School of Nazirpur Pirojpur with 4 examinees.
Dash Gupta Ashish Kumar former, former headmaster of Choitanya Govinda Mohon High School in Barisal city and regional president of Bangladesh Shikkhak Samity claimed that rural schools scored cent percent pass rate as adaptation of unfair means were not checked there properly which was strictly prevented in divisional city schools.
 
Girls done better

Girl examinees have done better in the results of Secondary School Certificate Examination of 2016 under Barisal Education Board.
As per result sheet of BEB 1,609 out of 32,430 passed female examinees received GPA-5 while rest 1,504 GPA-5 was scored by 32,472 passed male examinees.
Girls also done better in pass rate as 80.08 percent female examinees passed SSC 2016 under BEB while passed male examinees were 78.75 percent.
Besides in group-wise results girls also done better than boys as girls scored 80.08 percent pass rates including 89.14 percent in science, 74.92 percent in humanities, 82.32 percent in business studies groups.
On the other hand, boys reconceived 78.75 percent pass rate including 88.33, 70.89, 78.64 percent in science, humanities and business studies groups in SSC 2016 under BEB, Barisal Education Board sources said.
