Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) conducted raids and arrested 48 people on various charges including warrant accused from different places under four police stationson Saturday.
According to a release, Boalia Thana police arrested 16 accused, Rajpara Thana19, Motihar Thana eight, Shahmukhdum Thana three and Detective Branch of Police arrested two during the drives.
Of them arrestees, 17 accused are facing warrant arrest, six with illegal drugs and 20 others.
Police produced them before courts by taking legal measures against them, the release said.
BSS from Satkhira adds: District police in a special drive arrested 31 people from different parts of the district on Saturday night to yesterday morning.
Public Relations Officer of district police Kumkum Hossein said police in their drive held 13 people from Sadar Thana, 4 from Kolaroa, 2 from Tala, 2 from Kaliganj, 6 from Shamnagar, 2 from Ashasuni, 1 from Debhata and 1 from Patkelghata.
The arrested people were sent to jail this morning.
