7,886 youths to get Tk 30 cr as credit

Youth Development Department will give a credit of Taka 30 crore to the 7,886 trained youths across the country for making them self-reliance.
Youth Development Department on Monday handed over cheques to the trained youths at the department’s conference room in the city as part of credit programme, said a press release.
The department organised the programme marking the 41st martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman where State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder were present as the chief guest.
Secretary of Youth and Sports Ministry Kazi Akhtar Uddin Ahmed attended as the special guest with Director General of Youth Development Department Anwarul Karim in the chair.
The department also arranged many other programmes including blood donation camp and a discussion titled “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh”.
Our Natore correspondent adds: Youth Development Department of Natore has so far given a credit of Taka 94.40 lakh to the 248 trained youths to be self-employed.
