Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested at least 77 drug traders on charges of selling and consuming drugs in the city during last 24 hours.
During the anti-narcotics drives, the law enforcing agencies also seized huge contraband drugs from the spots.

During the anti-narcotics drives, the law enforcing agencies also seized huge contraband drugs from the spots.
The Detective Branch in association with members of different local police stations of the city carried out the drives separately starting from 6:00am on Wednesday morning to Thursday morning.
The drive in various places of the capital seized 6,759 pieces of yaba, 350 grams of heroin, 880 grams of hemp, 26 pieces of injections and 24 bottles of foreign wine, according to a DMP statement.
A total of 21 cases have been filed with different police stations under Narcotics Control Act, the DMP statement added
