Officials of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) seized 750 grams cocaine from a parcel at the cargo village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday.
Assistant Director (Dhaka North) of the DNC Khorshed Alam said Director (OPS) of the DNC received an information from the American Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on Friday that cocaine was sent from Uganda to Dhaka by an air parcel of DHL.
Based on the information, several teams of DNC
went to the airport and identified the parcel, said Khorshed.
After searching the parcel, the DNC officials recovered 750 grams cocaine, which was supposed to be received by one Mukman of the capital’s Uttara area, he said.
