Some 75 people including Jamaat-Shibir activists and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami were arrested in Satkhira by Anti-Narcotics team. They were arrested from different places in eight police stations of the district on Monday evening till Tuesday noon.
Satkhira district police special branch informs that 20 people in Satkhira Sadar, 10 in Kalaroa, 12 in Tali, 9 in Kaliganj, 11 in Shyamnagar, 7 in Assasuni, 3 in Debhata and 3 in Patkelghata were detained.
However, some drugs including 33 bottles of Phensidyl, 22 pitch Yabas were recovered at the time. The detainees have sabotage and drug lawsuits, he said.
