SSC exams: 75.5 pc pass in Chattogram Board

A total of 1,02,037 students came out successful in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under Chattogram Education Board (CEB) this year with the decrease of both percentage of pass and number of GPA-5 scorers.
According to results published here today, the pass rate in the board is 75.5, which is 8.49 percent less than the previous year.
Last year, the pass rate was 83.99 percent. A total of 8,094 students secured GPA-5 this year and 8,344 in last year.
A total of 3,922 male students got GPA-5 while 4,172 female students achieved GPA-5. Among the successful, the male students are 47,608 while female students are 54,429.
The results of Secondary School certificate and Dakil examination under Chattogram Education Board announced yesterday as elsewhere in the country. The percentage of pass is 75.50 percentage. 8094 students passed in GPA-5 grade. This was disclosed by the controller of Chattogram Education Board Md. Towarik Alam. Board sources said one lakh 35,148 students from 1,023 schools participated the exam and came out successful 1,02,037 . In group wise results, 90 percent passed in science group, 60.13 percentage in humanities and 78.86 percentage in commerce group . Sources said the examinations were held in 179 centres under Ctg Board, out of total 62,575 male and 72,391 female students. In science group, 27,708 students passed out of 30,785 students, 25592 students passed in Humanities group out of 42,465 students and 48,737 students passed in Business group out of 61,801 students.
