Water levels in 74 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 11 stations recorded fall.
Among the 90 monitored water level stations, two river stations have been registered steady while three rivers are flowing above danger mark, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here on Monday.
The Brahmaputra at Chilmari, Dhaleswari at Elasin and the Kangsha at Jariajanjail are flowing above its danger levels by 1 cm, 1cm and 54 cm respectively. Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am yesterday.
A total of 150 millimeters (mm) rainfall were recorded at Lorergarh, 110 mm at Comilla, 109 mm at Teknaf, 104.5 mm at Mymensingh, 98 mm at Jariajanjail, 95.5 mm at Madaripur, 91 mm at Cox’s Bazar, 80 mm at Naogaon, 78 mm at Nakuagaon, 75.8 mm at Noakhali, 75 mm at Sunamganj, 72.5 mm at Bhagyakul, 65
mm at Durgapur, 60 mm at Bogra, 56 mm at Panchagarh, 53.8 mm at Jessore, 53 mm at Mohadebpur, 52.5 mm at Kurigram, 51.8 mm at Chapainawabganj, 48 mm at Kaunia and 75 mm at Sunamganj.
