Police arrested 26 people on different charges from seven upazilas of the district during separate drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
Sources said, during the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 12 people with 15 pieces of Yaba tablets, Kalaroa police five, Tala police three, Kaliganj police two, Shyamnagar police one, Assasuni police two and Debhata police arrested one accused.
The arrested persons were sent to jail yesterday morning.
Police, in special drives from Thursday night to this morning, arrested 47 accused and recovered illegal drugs- Phensidyl, Yaba tablets, Ganja and locally made liquor – from six upazilas of the district.

Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested 27 people along with 500 grams of ganja, Chirirbandar police nine, Khansama police five, Ghoraghat police three with 200 bottles of Phensidyl, Hakimpur police two with 308 pieces of Yaba tablets and Birampur police one with 150 bottles of Phensidyl.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added. The arrested were sent to jail this morning.
