On Monday, seven dengue patients were admitted to hospitals.
A total of 141 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-bite disease are taking treatment in different hospitals in the country, said the Directorate General of Health Services in a press release issued on Tuesday.
Of the total 141 patients, 42 dengue patients are from Dhaka.
“A total of 1,477 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country since January 1 this year till today. Of the admitted patients, 1,335 left the hospitals after recovery. One patient has died during the period,” DGHS sources said.
Earlier in 2019, the dengue outbreak took a deadly turn and one lakh people were hospitalized with dengue during that time.
At least 146 people had died with dengue fever in 2019.
However, dengue did not have much impact in the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, but in the middle of 2021, dengue created a somewhat worrying situation in the country.
