Bangladesh Awami League, the oldest political party’s 70th founding anniversary was celebrated in Khagrachhari like all over the country. National flag and party flag hoisted at party office of the Narkelbagan area of the district city on Sunday morning.
At that time, the MP of reserved women’s seat Basanti Chakma, senior Vice-President of District Awami League Rono Bikram Tripura, Vice-President Kalyan Mitra Barua, Samir Dutta Chakma, Acting General Secretary Nirmalendu Chowdhury.
Youth and Sports Secretary as well as Hill District Council member Mongshapru Chowdhury Apu, another district council member Jewel Chakma, Partha Tripura Jewel, education and human resources affairs secretary Didarul Alam and Awami League’s associate organization leader and activists were presented.
Later, leaders and activists of district Awami League and the party’s associate organization have launched a colorful rally. The rally ended in the municipal town hall premises after carried out the main road of district town.
Then the party leaders and activists placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at municipal town hall premises.
