Staff Correspondent :Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive seized at least 70 Bangladeshi fake passports and visa documents from in front of Passport Office in the city’s Agargaon area on Monday. They also arrested six persons in this connection.Anisur Rahman, Executive Magistrate of a mobile court of the elite force jailed the arrested people for three months each for cheating the common people.They were identified as Abdul Maleq, 32, son of Mufazzal Hossain, Nasir, 22, son of Masum Mollah, SM Tutul, 30, son of Alauddin Sheikh, Awlad Munshi, 48, son of Siraj Munshi, Razu, 27, son of Farhad Hossain, and Rana, 28, son of Basu Kazi.Lieutenant Commander Sazzad Raihan, Deputy Director of RAB-2 claimed that the arrestees used to cheat people who wanted to go abroad. They raided the area and recovered the passports and passport-making equipment, the RAB official said.He said, the arrested people cheated overseas job seekers by attaching fake visas and travel documents with their passports. They used to introduce themselves as brokers of the passport office.
