7 people including 4 members of the same family missing for 7 years in Jashore

Seven people including four members of the same family missing for seven years have not yet been found in Chaugachha Upazila of Jashore district.
Family members said they left home to go to Malaysia and never returned till now. Families are now living in very critical situation.
According to the victim’s family and local sources, four members of the same family from Muktadah village of the upazila have gone missing after leaving home Malaysia. They are Amit Hasan Mukul (30), son of Atiyar Rahman, Azizur Rahman (40), son of Haider Ali ,Fulzar Hossain (48), son of late Badr Uddin, Shariful Islam Khokon (40), son of late Chhabed Ali. Besides, Shafiqul Islam, 28, son of late Attab Hossain of the same village, Ramzan Ali, 45, son of late Sekendar Ali of Rostampur village and Liton Hossain, 26, son of Umsan Ali of Durgabarkati village are still missing.
They all left home on June 1, 2013 to go to Malaysia. No one has been found since. The family members of the missing persons said that they were tempted to go to Malaysia for a small amount of money.
Raju Ahmed alias Fazlur Rahman, a resident of Satkhira district in Muktadah village, lured them and sent them to Malaysia by water path. On June 1, 2013, they left home at once. But even then the family members do not know where they are leaving.
On June 12, Amit Hassan Mukul called his house and said, “We are all going to Malaysia by water path. The trawler is up. I will leave now. That was their last word.
Mukul’s wife Chameli Khatun said, “I got the number from which he called. Despite repeated attempts, no one was found on the phone. Seven years later, he was not found. We spend our days with great difficulty.
Reshma Begum, wife of the missing Shariful Islam Khokon, and Rupvan Begum, wife of Fulzar Rahman, said their relatives could not be found despite many attempts. They are now living in poverty and misery. At that time there was anxiety and extreme frustration in their eyes.
The victims said that three months after the disappearance, they went to Raju, a housekeeper from Muktadah village. They keep pressuring their relatives to give it back. At this time Raju gave his colleague the opportunity to talk to Rashidul Islam, another Adam dealer from Teknaf in Chittagong.
the father of the missing Mukul, said, “We had a lot of raids in different parts of the country, including Satkhira, at the beginning of the incident.” But Adam did not find any of the traders. Five people from our village, one from Rustampur village, one from Durgabarkati village and eight others from Jhikargachha upazila fell into the clutches of these brokers and left for Malaysia by water.
But seven years later, no one has been found. At present, unlimited poverty has come down in all these families. They are fighting with scarcity and poverty. Many wives now run the household by working as garment workers. Missing Azizur Rahman’s wife has left behind two children. They are living a very difficult life from their grandmother. They also do not know if the family members are alive or dead. If not alive, where is their body? And if they survive, where are they? The affected families are eagerly waiting to get the confirmed information. The affected families have appealed to the government to get their family members back or get their news.
