Jhenidah Correspondent :Seven members of a family, including four minors, fell sick after eating a watermelon on Sunday at Khatalia village under Kaliganj upazila of the district.The victims are Shariful Islam, 28, Kalpana Khatun, 22, Shanta Yesmin, 7, Tasnim Khatun, 2, Ruhan Hossain, 9, Sumi Khatun, 4, and Parula Khatun, 55. Locals rushed them to Kaliganj Health Complex as their condition soon deteriorated.Shariful Islam bought a watermelon from Kaliganj Bazaar at 10-30am yesterday and ate it with other members of family at about 12:00pm. But soon they started feeling pain in the abdomen and became unconscious. All family members regained their sense in the hospital except Shanta till yesterday evening. On duty doctor Abdur Rahman of Kaliganj local health complex, however, believed that they were out of danger.
