In separate incidents, seven people were murdered in Panchagarh, Sherpur, Comilla, Chandpur and Kushtia districts on Monday and Tuesday.
In Panchagarh, a domestic help was beaten to death allegedly by his master at Khalpara in Boda upazila on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Ilias, 28.
Police said Solaiman Ali, also a madrasah teacher, beat Ilias mercilessly in the morning as he took shelter in a nearby house fearing He was at his uncle’s office at the time of the abduction, he said.
