At least seven persons including three killed in Commila and many others seriously injured in several road crashes across the county on Friday.
In Cumilla, at least three persons were killed and 25 others injured in a triangular collision among two passengers buses and a truck in Sadar Dakshin upazila of Cumilla on Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway just in front of Sadar Dakshin Police Station at about 3.00pm.
Two of the deceased were identified as Sajedur Rahman,48. and Rahim Uddin Manik,42. They died on the spot while another victim died at a local hospital the injured were taken to different local hospitals.
Sadar Dakshin Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mamunur Rashid said, they have heard the accident news and sent police to the spot.
In Laxmipur,at least two persons were killed in a tragic road accident when a truck hit them in Kamalnagar upazila of the district on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Partho Kumar Das, 40, President of Hajirhat union Swechchhasebok League, and Ratan Kumar Das, 35, the Organizing Secretary of the same unit. They were residents of Karunanagar village in the upazila.
Kamalnagar Police Station Officer in-Charge Iqbal Hossain confirmed the matter.
In Dhaka, a motorcyclist was killed and another was injured when a passenger bus hit them in city’s Gabtoli area on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Khalid Hossain from Manikganj district.
Aslam Uddian, Officer-in-Charge of Darus Salam Police Station confirmed the matter to the media.
