7 more killed in road accidents

At least seven persons were killed and 15 others seriously injured in separate road accidents across the country on Monday.
In Dhaka, a motorcyclist named Shahidul Islam Sagor, 25, was killed when a truck hit him at Asad Gate in the city’s Lalmatia area early Monday.
The killer truck was seized and its driver held from Asad Gate petrol pump, Saiful Islam, on-duty Police Sergeant told the media.
In Gazipur, two persons including a truck driver were killed in separate incidents in the district.
At Kaliakoir, an unidentified youth, 40, was killed when a truck rammed him at Shafipur area under upazila of the district on Monday morning.
Md Mujibul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Salna Highway Police confirmed the matter to the media.
Besides, a truck driver named Jabed Mia, 25, was electrocuted in Konabari BSCIC area under Gazipur City Corporation on Monday morning.
Police said, Jabed came in contact with a live electric wire when he was working
on a truck around 8.00am. In Madaripur, a minor child named Laboni was killed and three others injured when a truck hit a van in Mostafapur bus stand of the district.
Sirajul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Madaripur Sadar Police Station confirmed the incident to the media.
In Gaibandha, a van driver named Shafi Alam Babu,25, was killed when a truck hit him in Gobindaganj upazila of the district on Monday morning.
In Chuadanga, a man named Saidur Rahman, 65, was killed after losing control of the steering of a truck on the road (Alamdanga-(Chuadanga) under Sadar upazila of the district.
