Joydebpur police have arrested six members of an organized gang of thieves while stealing a cable from the boundary wall of a factory called Epilion Fabrics in Gazipur’s Sadar upazila on Tuesday night.
Joydebpur police, with the help of locals, arrested six members of a factory for stealing electrical cables on the north side of a factory’s bonded warehouse.
The arrested are, Md. Sharpinpara village of Doarabazar upazila of Sunamganj district. Mansir Ali’s son Monir Hossain (28) of the same district Dirai police station Chanpur village, Momin, 18, son of Shafiqul Islam, Hannan, 20, son of Tota Mia of Mukhi village under Pagla police station of Mymensingh district, Real (28), son of Joynal Mia of Gafargaon police station of Mymensingh district, Anik Mia (20), Saidul Haque (25) and Babul Mia (40).
The accused have been renting houses in different upazilas of Gazipur and stealing various kinds of goods from the houses and factories.
Officer-in-Charge of Joydebpur Police Station OC Mahtab Uddin said those involved in the theft of electrical connection cable of the factory have been arrested. Along with that, stolen equipment including cables have been recovered. The accused have been sent to jail through the court.
