At least seven persons, including a teacher and his student, were killed and 20 others seriously injured in several road crashes across the country on Monday.
In Naogaon, two motorbike riders, a teacher and his student, were killed on the spot after a bus hit the vehicle in Manda upazila of the district on Monday noon.
The accident took place in Sotihat area of the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Kamal Hossen, 40, son of one late Yaad Ali, of Khudia Danga village of the upazila and teacher of a government primary school and his student Sumon, 12, son of Kaiyum Uddin of Sayeedpur village of the upazila.
On information, police recovered the bodies from the spot, Mozaffar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Manda Police Station, told the media.
In Dinajpur, a motorcyclist named Hamid Hasan, 25. was killed when a truck rammed the motorbike in Pachbibi area under sadar upazila of the district yesterday.
The deceased Hamid Hasan was a college student and son of one Aslam Hossain.
In Habiganj, a farmer named Rahmot Ali, 55, was killed when a private car hit him in noyabad area on the Habiganj-mirpur road yesterday.
In Chattogram, an unidentified youth was killed when a truck hit him at Sithakondhu of the district.
In Gaibandha, a motorcyclist named Akkas Ali, 22, was killed when a truck hit him in Sondorganj upazila of the district yesterday.
