7 killed in road accidents

Seven people were killed and 17 others injured in separate road accidents in Chapainawabganj, Moulvibazar, Comilla and Sirajganj districts on Monday.
In Sirajganj, two people were killed and two others injured when a truck rammed a capital-bound private car from Syedpur upazila of Nilphamari district on Dhaka-North Bengal highway at Kamarpara in Raiganj uapzila at about 2:30pm.
One of the deceased was identified as Mozammel Haque, 30, son of Kharia Miah of Madhupur village in Syedpur upazila of Nilphamari district.
In Chapainawabganj, two people, including a schoolboy, were killed in separate road accidents in Shibganj upazila.
Tareque, 14, son of Tozammel Haque of Biswanathpur village in Shibganj uapzila, was killed when a truck hit his bicycle at Biswanathpur Women Bazar around 2 pm.
In another accident, Naru Mondal, 50, son of Hashem Uddin of Chandshikari village in the upazila, was killed when a truck ran him over while crossing the Kansat-Binadpur road at Khonda in the upazila around 3:30pm.
In Comilla, a three-year-old girl was killed when a easy-bike hit her while crossing the Bejura-Brahmanpara road at Dirghabhumi in Brahmanpara upazila.
The deceased was identified as Bristi, daughter of Abul Kashem, a mason by profession and resident of the area.
In Moulvibazar, two people, including a schoolgirl, were killed and 15 others injured as a bus overturned at Baruna in Sreemangal upazila in the morning.
