At least seven people, including three women, were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus at Bhatiapara intersection on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Kashiani upazila on Saturday morning. Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Mizan, inspector (investigation) of Kashiani police station, said a Gopalganj-bound bus of ‘Ashique- Sagar Paribahan’ hit a Mawa-bound microbus coming from the opposite direction around 11 am, leaving one person dead on the spot and 10 others injured. Of the injured, six others died on way to hospital. The injured were rushed to a local hospital and Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
