At least seven people were killed and four others injured when a vegetable-laden truck veers and fell into a roadside ditch in Golakandail area in the district on Saturday night. The incident took place on Madanpur-Bhulta highway at arount 11.30pm. Locals and police said the truck veered off the road into the roadside ditch in Golakandail area under Rupganj Upazila as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving seven dead on the spot. The injured were admitted to local hospitals. Later they were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their conditions were deteriorating. Rupganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident. It is known that all the victims were hailed from Patnitola area under Naogaon district but the detail identities could not be known immediately.
