Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested seven Bangladeshi nationals, including two women and one child, while they were returning to the country from India through Gatipara border point here on Sunday night.
The arrestees-Abu Hanif, 35, Mohammad Nayan, 25, and Harun, 30, Prodip Kumar, 30, Protiva, 30, Pusporani, 26 and Asha, 7– hail from different areas of Khulna and Gopalganj districts.
BGB Battalion-26’s Benapole company commander Abdullahil Wafi said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area at night and arrested the seven Bangladeshi nationals while they were trying to return to the country from India without valid documents.
Later, BGB troops handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station.
