The unhealthy bacteria are blending with the filth in the air system of the capital Dhaka which created the new dimensions of the air pollution.
Researchers said seven catastrophic bacteria are flying in the Dhaka’s air which are the outcome of the poor and unplanned waste management.
They said these baleful bacteria can be defilement for public health.
The researchers said the quality of the air in Dhaka city did not improve during Rainy Season, adding that in last 17 years, air quality had been deteriorating across the country.
Bangladesh has a subtropical monsoon climate characterised by wide seasonal variations in rainfall, high temperature and humidity. Generally, Dhaka’s air starts getting fresh when monsoon rains begin in mid-June. The air remains mostly acceptable from June to October. On the other hand, the bacteria have spread to air and also in water this year from the solid waste.
Stamford University Bangladesh environment researchers said, bacteria are more prevalent in areas of the capital where garbage has been piled up for a long time.
According to the research of the Department of Chemistry of Dhaka University, in addition to the capital, air pollution has increased in Rajshahi, Chittagong, Barisal and Khulna divisions in 17 years. Excessive amounts of particulate matter or PM 2.5 and 10 micro grams are available in nine months of the year. Harmful bacteria are getting into the air due to unplanned renovation work.
Researchers also say that it is important to use a face mask not only for coronary infections, but also to avoid air pollution.
