UNB, Noakhali :
Police recovered seven firearms, 82 bullets, and sharp weapons and cartridges from under the earth at Hasina Bazar in Keringchar area of Hatiya upazila on Monday.
Being informed by locals, police launched a drive in the area and made the recovery digging the earth in a river bank. During the drive, the law enforcers also recovered 50 cartridges and seven sharp weapons around 2 pm, said Nobojyoty Khisha, assistant superintendent of Noakhali (Sadar Circle).
Locals noticed the arms and ammunition in the morning as water eroded the riverbank at the point, he added.
