Entry tests fraud: 7 DU students put on remand

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday placed seven Dhaka University students on a one-day remand on charge of fraudulence during admission tests.
Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan of the CMM Court passed the order after hearing on the remand pleas. The accused persons are- Tanvir Ahmed Mallik, Md Baijid, Nahid Iftekhar,
Fardin Ahmed Sabbir, Prosenjit Das, Rifat Hossain and Azizul Hakim.
CID Assistant Police Super Mohammad Mahibul Islam and also the Investigation Officer of the case produced the accused before the court seeking seven days’ remand for each.
On October 20, detectives arrested the accused students from different places on different dates in connection with a case filed with Shahbagh Police Station of the city over forgery during admission test.
