RAB has arrested 7 suspected drug dealers along with 52 kg of cannabis in Bhairab port town of Kishoreganj recently. A private car and a microbus were seized at Syed Nazrul Islam Bridge on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway and seized the cannabis.
The detainees are Helal Mia, Md. Sadeq, Iqbal Mia, Didar Hossain, Shipon Mia, Nur Amin and Masum Mia. They are residents of Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria.
A search of the two vehicles at around 10 am found a consignment of cannabis.
RAB-14 in Bhairab source said that on secret information that a consignment of drugs was being taken to Dhaka on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway.
