7 detained over stealing computers from BSMRSTU

Police have detained seven people including a student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University(BSMRSTU) in Gopalganj in a case filed for stealing computers of the university.
The detainees were sent to the district jail following a court order on Saturday afternoon.
The detainees are Masrul Islam Poni Sharif, 23, a second year honours student of Public Administration
 department, Abdur Rahman Sheikh Shourav, 19, Hasibur Rahman alias Shanto, 19, Naeem Uddin, 9, residents of Sadar upazila; Md Dulal Mia, 45, of Devidwar upazila in Cumilla, Md Humayun Kabir, 24, of Mymensingh and Najmul Hasan, 19, of Rajoir upazila in Madaripur.
Mizanur Rahman, investigating officer of the case, said that the rest involved in the incident will also be arrested soon.
During the Eid holidays, some 49 computers were stolen from the BSMRSTU central library by breaking its windows. University Registrar Md. Nuruddin Ahmed filed a case with Sadar Police Station on August 10 in this regard.
